Points of Interest
Visitors will be interested in locating
the following special points of interest.
The Creek
Drift Creek is a defining feature at Drift Creek Camp. It nearly
encloses the camp in a loop and offers many scenic views.
Nurse logs
There are numerous nurse logs at DCC a defining element in temperate
rain forests. This one is immediately south of the activity field.
Stilt Trees
Visitors will find numerous trees that sprouted and grew on nurse
logs or stumps which when decayed gives the appearance of trres
on stumps.
The Narrows
At the southmost point of DCC loop, a narrow strip of land separates
the flow of drift creek as it reaches the loop and leaves it.
Water Falls
At the northmost spot in the DCC loop, two small waterfalls drop into
Drift Creek, a quiet and picturesque spot.
Swimming Hole
This special spot along the creek is a favorite destination for
many camping events.
Outdoor Classrooms
There are numerous locations in the forest canopy for outdoor
learning experiences.
