DCNC BioBlitz

Drift Creek Nature Center will host its first bilblitz at Drift Creek Camp on May 24, 2008. This BioBlitz event will continue our process of species inventorying of the Drift Creek Camp area. A major effort is being made to include a least one specialist or expert for each group of species (native plants, trees, lichens, fungus, birds, aquatic life, bugs, etc.) and as many volunteers as possible. Our goal will be to have a complete inventory that can be used in our learning and awareness activities and for future monitoring of the species. DCC Annual Members Meeting:

The Drift Creek Nature Center advisory board has been asked to plan Saturday programming for the annual member's meeting November 5 - 7. We are planning a variety of interactive experiences with nature in the pristine environment of Drift Creek Camp with opportunities for all ages to Learn, Explore and Interact with Nature.
